The “Petra Collection” is the seminal result of my contact with Greece and the Cycladic Civilization.
The protagonists of that work are the sea stones, that noble, resilient, and timeless material which greek nature so generously provides.
Each sea stone, transformed into an anthropomorphic sculpture, spins its own unique story, autonomously or as a part of a composition. Primitive and minimalistic, the sea stones in the “Petra Collection” carry the heavy load of history, local and universal alike.
Being an Argentinian from the subtropic area, I am inspired by natural raw materials, which I collect and transform into aesthetic objects.
A major part of my work focuses on bringing together the art of sculpting (stone/wood/metal) and painting, a process where nature and civilisation, inertia and change rise as the central elements of my artistic quest.
The sculptures come in three different sizes based on the dimensions of the stone. Height may vary.
